Congratulations to Kayla Murcutt who has been selected for QAS ( Queensland Academy of Sport) under 13’s Team.
She was identified through SCF’s talent ID program in September and has progressed through a series of trials including training and games against girls from all over QLD over the last few months.
Her workload will now increase as her and her family travel to Brisbane 4 times a week for training and games.
Her journey at Bribie began 5 years ago as a Miniroo in a mixed under 8 team where she began her love for the game and learned her competitive edge from mixing it with the boys.

As hard as it is to see Kayla leave us, this is what we are trying to do, develop footballers and help them achieve their goals.
Kayla will be missed by her team as much for her smile and bubbly personality as for her devastating runs down the left wing where she’d regularly beat defenders twice her size.
She truly was a pleasure to coach, and I wish her all the best going forward.
I know that she’ll do her family, club and teammates proud.
